Great product - it served me well to coupe with the wost DC area snow storm in a century March 2, 2010 Vitaliy Ulitovskyy (ASHBURN, VA, US) Loved it! Served me well to dig out my two cars after the worst snow storms in Wash, DC area in a century!
Shaft Slips when pressing into icy snow February 9, 2010 H. Sahni The Shovel when it arrived seemed decent, but the metal shaft definitely should be longer so you don't have to bend over as much. The real problem is when this shovel is put to the test shoveling heavy packed snow, the shaft has a tendency to slide back into the shovel head. What's worse is that the shaft no longer is locked to the piece that attaches to the shovel head. If I loosen the the tensioner, I'm able to pull the metal shaft apart.
I will be returning this shovel since it had such a hard time with my first use of it.
Not as described February 3, 2010 W. R. Ransom (Valencia, PA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Description says shovel has a 37" shaft when extended. Not true. Total length of shaft and handle when extended is 29". Total length of shovel from blade end to handle is 37".
Car Shovels, got 1 for everyone! January 26, 2010 P. Sturgis (PA) Sturdy and collapsible. Wide enough to shovel out your car and small enough to fit in the trunk. I got one for all the kids.
Extendable Shovel January 25, 2010 Natalie Smaller than I thought it would be but seems well-made enough. Thankfully I haven't had to use it yet though.
