bench scrape shovel is great August 4, 2010 rosecross really like this product so far...edge is kind of sharp, so watch out. holds a lot of chopped items in one scoop. great thing to have if you cook with a lot of cut veggies!
Good thinking Rach. July 28, 2010 HighQC This is one of the best designed bench scrapes I've ever seen on the market. It boggles my mind that no one else has walls on the sides to keep food from rolling right off. It is very handy for scooping up large quantities of potatoes, carrots, etc.
It is well constructed so I don't have any worries about it coming apart. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because of its necessity. I don't know about you, but my kitchen already has too many gadgets in it. Half of the time, I forget about it and just use my chef's knife and/or cutting board. If I had more storage space for it, I think I'd use it more. But, I've noticed that this has become one more thing to get out before I chop. Maybe a flexible cutting board makes more sense for someone like me.
As bench scrapes go, it's the best I've seen. Good on ya Rach.
Love this handy little gadget! July 19, 2010 Navy Wife M I owned the Pampered Chef's scraper first and hated it. Don't get me wrong I love Pampered Chef and am a true fan of 99% of their products. It's just that their scraper is junk. I needed something that actually did the job and Rachael Ray's scrape shovel WORKS! It's a nice size, with a great handle to hold, and its dishwasher safe! You scoop your goodies up and transfer them into your pan or pot...simple as that. It is not meant to chop and the people who gave it bad reviews should have read the description better. It's a shovel for scooping not a knife for chopping! I love mine!
Great Kitchen Tool !!!! July 19, 2010 Shelia Raley (Georgia) You will love this Rachel Ray scrape shovel tool if you chop anything at all. It is so handy to scoop everything up and place it over in my pan or pot once I finish chopping my vegetables. It is well worth the money for the time I save using this tool.
Wife loves it, so do I... June 14, 2010 Oscar Omar Ocon (Chicago, IL USA) There's nothing to complain about. It does what it's supposed to and makes it so much easier around the kitchen, rather then have my wife use the same knife to put things in the pot. It's cleaner, faster and safer. Couldn't be any happier knowing I saved her from danger, lol.
